Mark is the Managing Director of MAX VMG. He has 15 years of experience at the sharp end of organisation development in the fields of strategy and culture optimisation, leadership development, intact team coaching, executive coaching, meeting design and facilitation and change management. Mark is also an accomplished keynote speaker, with his background including a 10-year career in professional sailing, culminating in him leading a team in the BT Global Challenge Round the World Yacht Race in 2000-01.
Karen Salmon is the Operations Manager at MAX VMG bringing 8 years of experience in the Organisation Development sector. Karen has a finance background and thrives in organising the back office engine of MAX VMG. She enjoys building great working relationships with clients and peers and in her spare time Karen enjoys trail running, taking part in marathons in the local counties of Hampshire, Dorset, Wilshire and Sussex.
Malcolm retired from corporate life in 2009 and is now a non-executive director of several ambitious privately owned businesses. His early career in consulting provided 13 years international experience in a broad spectrum of businesses where he specialised in organisation development to re-engineer profitable growth. This led to a 20 year period as CEO for two international FTSE corporations in which Malcolm was accountable for such diverse interests as automotive components, electronics, engineering, retail product manufacture and distribution, pharmaceutical packaging print and contract packing services.
Over the last 15 years Will has developed and delivered numerous leadership, management and team development programmes both nationally and internationally. He is a charismatic facilitator, coach and trainer who enthuses clients with his passion for the privilidge of leadership and the power of teamwork. This was born on the Ocean race course when at 27 years old he skippered an amateur team in the BT Global Challenge 2000-01 known as the world’s toughest yacht race. Will frequently relates his experience from this endeavour when delivering, helping to bring leadership and team theory to life.
Caryl has extensive global experience in team and leadership development gained across a wide range of industries and is an accredited executive coach. Her particular area of expertise is change leadership training and coaching. Before moving into learning and development in 2008, Caryl held a number of management and leadership positions in large national and multinational organisations in the Hotel Industry, and this business experience enables her to design and deliver pragmatic and impactful development solutions that blend the latest thinking in leadership development with her practical application experience.
Brendan is an accomplished author, speaker, facilitator and executive coach with a unique background that he draws upon when working with clients. Brendan was the winning skipper of the Clipper Round The World Race in 2009-10, leading a team of amateurs to ultimate glory after 10 months of formidable sailing. His book ‘Team Spirit: Life and Leadership on one of the world’s toughest yacht races’ is highly acclaimed and now in its 3rd re-print.
